Since his election in 2007 Councilmember Piotr "Peter" Gajewski has worked to ensure that Rockville residents get the best possible value from our City government.
Beautiful, safe neighborhoods and great City services delivered with a smile are Rockville's trademarks. But effective government should not mean runaway taxes. Gajewski has provided the key leadership to lower Rockville's tax rate and advocates cutting wasteful spending like the $630,000 annual subsidy of the City’s failing municipal golf course.
Gajewski has also been the strongest voice on the Council in support of a more open and transparent government. Since his election, he has held quarterly Townhall Meetings to hear from constituents and is also the most frequent Council opponent of unneeded closed meetings.
