Piotr (Peter) Gajewski is well known to many Rockville and Montgomery County residents as the Music Director & Conductor of the acclaimed National Philharmonic – in residence at the Music Center at Strathmore. While Gajewski has pursued a professional career in music, he also holds a law degree from the Columbus School of Law; he is a member of the Maryland Bar and makes time for occasional law projects.
Whether volunteering in schools, coaching soccer or through political activism, Gajewski has devoted a significant part of his life to public service. Entering the election for Rockville City Council is a natural extension of this work.
Gajewski is married and has three children. His older daughter, a college junior, is a graduate of Richard Montgomery High School; his son is a freshman at RMHS; his younger daughter attends kindergarten.
